UKONS Membership options
We have 4 different types of membership, please click on the options below to find the best one suited to your needs:
Individual membership
Cost: £40/year
Advantages include:
- An individual vote in local and national UKONS elections
- An opportunity to stand for the UKONS board
- Copies of the UKONS newsletter
- Reduced conference fees (depending on the event)
- Opportunities to apply for a UKONS scholarship or educational bursary
Partnership
Cost: £5,000–£100,000+/year UKONS offers pharmaceutical companies the opportunity to offer financial support to the Society for specific projects, audits and research initiatives. Advantages include (depending on level of sponsorship):
- Invitation to appropriate regional meetings
- Display stand at each regional meeting
- Company logo on all UKONS publicity materials stating that the company is a partner
- Permission to use UKONS-produced work/publications to raise awareness of specific cancer topics
- An annual ‘diary of events’ showing all proposed initiatives for the year
- Automatic Corporate membership and associated benefits (please see section below)
Corporate membership
Cost: £350/year Advantages include:
- Reduced stand rates at conferences
- Opportunity to sponsor UKONS-themed events
- Access to membership information via the UKONS Board (e.g. for mail-outs)
- One copy of the newsletter
Specialist group membership
Maximum of 10 people, Cost: £250/year
Advantages include:
- One group vote (via Chair) in local and national UKONS elections
- One copy of the newsletter per group
- An opportunity for the group’s details to be registered on the UKONS website
Charity membership
25 or more staff members, £200/year, fewer than 25 staff members, £100/year Advantages include:
- One organisational vote in local and national UKONS elections
- Reduced stand rates at conferences (£200 reduction)
- One copy of the newsletter

Reduced conference fees for charity members, via a sliding scale:
£20 reduction per member for small charities £10 reduction per member for larger charities - The opportunity to display your charity logo on the UKONS website, as evidence of partnership working
