Regional Ambassadors

UKONS is committed facilitating its educational and developmental aims through local, regional as well as national events.

To this end a strong network of active UKONS Ambassadors is being developed to cover the nine regions of the United Kingdom.

A UKONS Ambassador will:

• Raise awareness of UKONS within their region

• Assist / promote cancer nurses locally

• Maintain a dialogue with local industry representatives and other partners

• Facilitate at local events

• Help with grants / external conference applications / research projects

• Establish aims and needs of local cancer nurses and assist them in achieving these

• Liaise with the UKONS Board member

• Contribute to the UKONS newsletter with news of their region

• Play an active role at the UKONS Annual Conference and other UKONS events

Ambassadors will be working closely with members of the UKONS Board, one of whom has been assigned to support each region.
