ECND2021 Competition – Guidelines

Make A Movie!  Be A Star!

The theme of ECND2021 is ‘Strengthening Sustainable Cancer Prevention in Healthcare’. For our competition this year, we are inviting you to make a short movie about cancer prevention. It should be in English, no more than 30 seconds long and recorded on your phone (ideally in MPEG-4 or AVI format). The purpose of your movie will be to highlight the importance of this issue for cancer nurses and for their patients. Your movie can be serious, it can be fun, but there should be an important professional message coming through loud and clear that will teach the viewer something important about cancer nursing and prevention. (You may wish to draw on the ECND2021 key messages.) For your movie, you might wish to focus on a particular aspect of prevention that you believe is vital or highlight what you and your colleagues are doing in your healthcare work setting to raise awareness on this issue. Prizes – Winners will receive free registration to EONS14, our nursing conference held with the ESMO Congress 2021.

The joint conference will be a virtual event, with the theme Cancer Nursing: Towards a new era in cancer care.

Deadline Midnight CET on Sunday 9 May.

Winners will be announced on European Cancer Nursing Day on 18 May. Upload your competition entries to: https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/16o6_DSnaAkpnzll789vhVlqsP7ZNxpWk?usp=sharing

Conditions: The competition is open to EONS National Societies, their members and EONS individual members. Individual entrants must be a registered nurse working in cancer care and have active membership of EONS. (If a National Society wins, it is up to that Society to decide which of their members will receive free registration for EONS14.) So, be creative, have fun – and good luck!
