Macmillan Workshops Acute Oncology- Changing Landscape of Acute Cancer Care

The aim of this event is to start a conversation around:

  • A UK wide perspective and understanding of the current landscape of acute cancer care - learning from the different approaches in each of the nations in the UK for AO models
  • Mapping touch points for patients in their journey including members of the workforce they are seeing
  • Exploring potential opportunities for improvement in the patient experience through collaborative learning
  • Understanding the challenges with the changing landscape of acute cancer care including aspects involved with the ongoing personalised medicine and immunotherapy
  • Consideration of opportunities to contribute to optimisation of care and reducing variation of support during treatment through shared learning
  • Consideration of other aspects that impact care incorporating health inequalities
