Did you know that 1 in 2 people will develop cancer in their lifetime*?

At Cancer Research UK, we'd like to get more people talking about cancer and health, as this can play an important role in prevention and early diagnosis.

Created by Cancer Research UK nurses, the Talk Cancer training helps anyone who is able to promote health and wellbeing in their community to feel more confident talking to people about ways to reduce the risk of developing cancer, spotting cancer early and screening. These conversations have the power to save lives.

Talk Cancer’s next free, live online workshop is happening on Thursday 6 October 2022 at 10:00am. This interactive, 2-hour workshop is suitable for anyone wanting to build their confidence and skills to have supportive conversations with others and will help you to:

·empower people to reduce their risk of developing cancer

·encourage people to be aware of what’s normal for their body and to speak a doctor with any concerns

·explore some of the common myths associated with cancer

·have effective, supportive conversations about health in general

  • Talk Cancer will provide you with practical tips, resources and ongoing support to help you make every conversation count – Together we will beat cancer.
  • *Born after 1960.
