ACCEND: Consultation open

25 July 2022

Aspirant Cancer Career and Education Development (ACCEND) Education and Career Capability framework consultation period now open.

The ACCEND programme will provide guidance on the knowledge, skills and capabilities required by all cancer support workers, nurses and allied health professionals who care for people living with cancer in generalist and specialist cancer services and roles as part of multi-professional teams across the four UK nations.

The education and career capability framework is due to launch in Autumn 2022 and will underpin the work of the ACCEND programme. To ensure we gain as much insight and feedback on the framework as possible we have set up a consultation period. Should you wish to participate in this consultation, please visit the consultation survey.

On this survey you will be able to review the latest version of the capability framework and complete an anonymous survey hosted by Skills for Health. You will also be offered an opportunity to leave your email/contact details if you wish to receive future updates about the launch and/or any future work associated with the ACCEND programme.

You will be able to save progress as you go along. We anticipate the survey completion to take approximately 30 minutes of your time. Our team will then review the results and collate for further considerations prior to launch.

If you have any queries or comments at this time, please email accend@hee.nhs.uk and one of the team will get back to you as soon as possible.
