UKONS & Capital Nurse have been shortlisted as finalists in this year’s Nursing Times Awards ‘Cancer Nursing’ category for the SACT Passport. The winners will be announced at the awards ceremony on 30th October 2019.
The project has been hugely successful through support from the UK Oncology Nursing Society (UKONS) and CapitalNurse. This unique passport ensures that patients will benefit from high quality care that is equally focused on safe drug delivery and supportive care. Nurses are now moving to other trusts with completed passports which is reducing the time required to assess them within their new place of work.
The SACT Passport is now available on the National Electronic Staff Record. This is the first specialist competency to be available to be recorded in this way and adds to the portability of the Passport.
